March Meeting - Swarms & Splits - Spring is Coming!

We will discuss swarm prevention, why hives swarm, how to tell when a hive is preparing to swarm, and tricks to collecting a swarm.  If you are a member and would like to be added to our swarm list, please let us know.

We will discuss how splitting your colony and when it should be done.  There are several benefits to splitting your colony, as well as the different ways that you can do it.  You can let the colony create their own queen or you can purchase a queen to introduce after the split is made.  We will talk about all of these things and answer any questions that you have.
