October Meeting - "Beyond the First Year of Beekeeping!"

Come join us for our October meeting when our special guest, Trish Harness, stops by to chat with our club!

Trish will share a presentation about the beekeeping transition from winter to spring, which might be your second year... or your second decade of beekeeping! This presentation will focus on the importance of mite management through winter and spring, and on being ready for the population explosion that occurs, and of course for the flood of nectar too! Even if you lost some (or all) of your hives, there is a lot to think about when working with a nuc or a package installed on drawn comb.

Trish is finishing her 8th summer as a beekeeper and is a honey vendor at the Bainbridge Geauga Fresh Farmer's market. She enjoys sharing her lessons from the school of hard knocks to help others' path in beekeeping be a little bit smoother.

We hope everyone will come and join us! You do not have to be a member to attend, and everyone is welcome! New beekeepers and seasoned beeks come and join us.
